After the Nashville school shooting this week, liberal talk show host David Pakman sent a tweet — that he later deleted — saying it was “surprising that there would be a mass shooting at a Christian school”, sarcastically questioning whether or not they were praying enough.

Pakman has maintained that his point of the tweet was that thoughts and prayers don’t stop mass shootings. However, several conservative commentators have argued Pakman was mocking the victims of the shooting.

One of those critical of Pakman was Fox News host Sean Hannity, who called Pakman an “awful progressive talk show host”, before adding “I thought attacking one’s personal religious beliefs was not allowed in the leftist world we live in”.

“He doesn’t even actually quote me or show my tweet,” Pakman said. “He quotes someone talking about my tweet. What kind of production value is this? How pathetic they couldn’t even be bothered.”

The David Pakman Show host took issue with Hannity’s statement that he was joking about the victims.

“Of course, that’s not what I did. I pointed out that prayers don’t work to stop mass shootings. Hannity can’t even be bothered to show the tweet he just goes out and says ‘I’ll quote Kendall Tietz’. What the hell is wrong with these people?”

Pakman then shared that he has been the subject of anti-semitic remarks from those on social media for his statements.

“It is every platform. It’s 1,000 posts on Instagram, it’s 1,000 emails, it’s 100,000 tweets directed at you. If you want a second, and you step away for a half hour and look and then there’s thousands more. Just endless. Endless. These borderline riotous mobs that are in the audience of folks like Sean Hannity. Hannity jumping in on the action, creating another barrage.”

WBAL has announced the addition of Coast to Coast AM with George Noory to its daily lineup.

It is the second change to the station’s lineup in recent weeks. Earlier this month, WBAL added former Baltimore City Police Department spokesperson T.J. Smith to host the station’s midday window.

The move fills a noticeable hole in the station’s offerings. Previously, a re-air of the station’s afternoon show — hosted by Torrey Snow and Dan Joseph — aired in the overnight hours, along with a television simulcast of the 4:30 AM newscast from WBAL-TV.

Coast to Coast AM has enthralled late-night listeners for decades,”says WBAL Director of Programming/News Director Jeff Wade. “The show’s unique blend of topics and issues, and live coverage of news events as they happen, make it the ideal complement to WBAL’s live and local daytime talk lineup.”

The addition of the program returns Noory to Baltimore, where the show was previously heard on 680 WCBM until it was dropped in May 2022.

“It’s great to be back in the Charm City!” Noory said. “As a young boy, I’d spend many days visiting family, and even took in a few Oriole games. I couldn’t be more excited to be heard on the legendary WBAL.”

Noory recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of the program, which is now heard on nearly 650 stations across the country.

Coast to Coast AM will begin airing on WBAL on Monday, April 3rd.
