Coffee amazing. Pastries amazing. Sourdough bread - best I have had in a very long time. We also had their buttercream cardamom cake - incredible. I wish I bought two. Highly recommended. Sad for me that they are closed on Sunday/Monday. Next visit I plan to seriously stock up.
This is an absolute must stop in Powell River. The croissants are absolutely amazing. Me and my boyfriend tried the maple bacon and cheese, caramel apple and pecan, and nettle and feta croissants. We were in LOVE with this bakery before we walked in we were hit with the intoxicatingly delicious scent of baked goods. As we entered, I could see the croissants from the kitchen getting ready to be in my belly! You can tell the croissants are made with the labour of love of the chefs here. You can definitely taste the level of care that was put into making their croissants. My only complaint is I wish they had things clearly labeled in their bakery case of what’s available. I arrived just before 9am just as the croissants were coming out. As a I left I think I heard another item coming out too. So I’m not sure if coming right when they open is best as they had so much more to offer later! But I’m sure it’s all delicious anyway.
Lukewarm cappuccino - though the coffee used was good. Smallest cappuccino I’ve had in ages. Little seating available. The front window bench is cold and is not stable. The guy on the other side wobbled it constantly without meaning to. Food was good but not noteworthy.

32 Lakes Cafe and Bakery is a charming establishment nestled in the heart of Powell River, offering a delightful experience for coffee and pastry enthusiasts. With its inviting atmosphere and attentive staff, it promises a memorable visit. However, I must admit that their rendition of the London fog falls short of expectations. The London Fog at 32 Lakes Cafe and Bakery unfortunately lacks the robust flavour one would hope for. Despite the promising combination of Earl Grey tea, steamed milk, and a touch of vanilla, the end result is disappointingly weak and lacks that distinctive essence that makes this beverage so beloved. It leaves much to be desired in terms of taste and intensity. This was mainly due to the lack of steamed milk and sweetener in the London Fog that was received. It was so weak that it couldn't be finished. That said, it's worth noting that 32 Lakes Cafe and Bakery offers a wide range of other delightful beverages and mouth watering pastries. From aromatic coffees to delectable treats, there are plenty of options to explore and enjoy. The cozy ambiance and friendly service further contribute to the overall experience. If you're seeking a bold and flavourful London Fog, it may be advisable to explore alternative options. However, if you're open to discovering other delightful offerings, 32 Lakes Cafe and Bakery certainly has plenty to offer, making it a worthwhile stop for coffee and bakery enthusiasts alike.
Wonderful freshly made baked goods. Excellent in-house roasted coffee, home made sandwiches & yummy bread. Bright friendly atmosphere enhanced by pleasant staff who care. Good place to meet a friend in downtown PR. I should have took the picture before I dove into the fresh soughdough seeded bun with house made butter & jam. Opps 🙄
