The Senior Financial Analyst is primarily an FP&A role and is responsible for providing financial support for critical areas and time-bound processes such as the annual budget, periodic forecasts and the month-end close cycle including BvA reporting. Assists in the preparation of various financial activities including data gathering, trending, modeling, forecasting, planning and reporting. Collects information from various areas across the company to assist in the building of models to provide insight to underlying business dynamics. This role not only requires technical analysis skills and the ability to think critically, but also a great deal of creativity and people skills. This person will work within finance but be exposed to all areas of the business making this an amazing opportunity for an individual that has the ability to analyze data and collaborate with teams across the company. The ideal candidate is a seasoned Financial Analyst looking to develop into an FP&A manager in the near-term.
Duties And Responsibilities
Prepares and reviews accurate and timely financial and business-related analyses, research, and forecasts
Comprehensive understanding of modeling and forecasting techniques inclusive of revenue, variable cost/margin analysis, and operating costs. Partnering with the Data Science team to develop, measure, and maintain Crumbl-wide prediction models
Commercially focused role; partnering with Marketing and Leadership to analyze US & Canada revenue trending. Measuring lift from new product launches, pricing initiatives, and shifting investments within marketing strategies
Performs advanced trend and variance analysis - incorporates data from different areas and synthesizes
Responsible for weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting and updates to management team. Maintenance of KPIs for assigned areas with an emphasis on Budget Variance analysis reporting
Completes a variety of financial evaluation research and analysis activities requiring the compilation of data and information from a variety of sources both internally and externally
Presents results of research and analysis to management; with a emphasis on communicating complex financial data to non-financial leaders
Provides key support to the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting of the assigned business area including variance analysis and sensitivity testing
Develops and provides ownership of complex short term (1 year) and provides support for long term (3 – 5 year) forecasting models
Acts as the organizational authority and established expert on costing, budgeting and finance tasks
Qualifications
Education - Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, or other applicable education
Preferred 5+ years of progressive FP&A or Finance experience
Proficient in Excel & exposure to basic SQL language (Snowflake)
Netsuite or other ERP systems experience a plus; exposure to NSPB/Smartview budgeting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with other teams in the organization
Highly organized and self-motivated
Capability of interpreting instructions where only limited standardization may exist
Flexible and adaptable; able to work and thrive in ambiguity
Solutions focused - assessing a gap identifying a sustainable solution and implementing a lasting impactful process
Team player; able to build relationships across teams and at all levels within the organization
